Barbie can do anything, because she’s really the product of imagination, both of the child playing with her and the Mattel marketting department.
And I don’t think it’s so much that Barbie has come a long way, as our society has some a little way and women are actually starting to gain the recognition that they’re every bit as capable as men in nearly every regard…perhaps excepting the more neanderthal roles where men still excel, much to our chagrin at times.
