Interesting Domain Name Statistics
April 2nd, 2006This guy was testing database software and decided to use the publicly-available .com domain name data as a testbed. He published some of the more interesting results. We can now confidently state, for example, that every single two- and three-letter .com domain is taken.

I noticed that the use of numbers in Domain Names seemed to loosely follow Benford’s Law which it really shouldn’t

Yeah, I noticed that too. But it’s the domains that start with “1”, so that does actually make sense (at least to me).
